Extract the Correct Pages from a PDF

Avoid page-number mistakes when sending only part of a document.

Start counting at the actual first page

A printed page number inside a report may differ from the PDF page index because of covers or contents pages. Count the first actual PDF page as 1.

Verified example: extracting actual pages two and three from a three-page test PDF produced a two-page file. Enter the PDF page positions, not the page numbers printed on paper.

Write down the intended pages and compare the output page count afterward.

Split or delete?

Use PDF Splitter to save only selected pages. Use Delete PDF Pages when most of the document should remain and you only need to remove a few pages.

Neither action alters the original file. Review exported pages for private information; splitting is not redaction.
