Test the destination, contrast, margins, and real-world print size.

Before downloading

Verify the URL and make sure it is safe to share. A static QR code embeds the content you entered; changing its destination later requires making a new code.

For a printed notice, enter the final public URL and open it on a phone first. A temporary edit link or a page that requires your login may be impossible for visitors to use.

Use a dark foreground, a light background, and enough empty margin. Busy backgrounds can reduce scan reliability.

Test the actual size

Print at the intended size and scan with more than one phone. A QR image that works on a large screen may fail on a tiny card.

For a long-running event sign, make sure the linked page will remain available.
